Well, there are a few reasons for this blog title. First, one of my favorite quotes is Mother Teresa's quote, "we can do no great things, only small things with great love." I agree with this completely. I want my life to be a series of small acts filled with love that connect one to the next...which in the end is a life filled with love and service. Mother Teresa is one of my heroes because of her selfless life and love. I just read a book about her (Come Be My Light--read it, amazing!) and her faithfulness to serving those around her, even the poorest of the poor, was so compelling. I want to be that person who no matter my life circumstances, loves those around me and cares for them deeply.
Also, on a less deep note, I'm small. Yes, we all know this. But I would like to be a small thing with great love to give the world and those around me. This blog will hopefully be filled with stories of great love, probably great frustrations, funny situations, and who knows what else that I experience or encounter during my time in Peace Corps Panama. I look forward to updating you and hearing about what is going on in your lives as well.
